Energy absorption and damping


HEMSCHEIDT shock absorbers are ideally suited for heavy and fast off-road vehicles which need to function absolutely reliably. Every vibratory system must be dampened to avoid uncontrolled movements and accelerations. The energy stored by the spring  is converted to heat by means of hydraulic dampers. Particularly in unfortified terrain large amounts of energy are converted to heat – resulting in high temperatures, which lead to failure with most shock absorbers. HEMSCHEIDT shock absorbers can withstand temperatures of up to 200 °C.

HEMSCHEIDT shock absorbers are coordinated in close cooperation with the customer. The adjustment of the employed valve technology is flexible and therefore allows a very broad application area.
